Bengaluru Police Arrest Telugu Actor Hema In Rave Party Case

HYDERABAD: Bengaluru Police arrest Telugu actor Hema following the bust of a rave party at a farmhouse, revealing drug consumption among attendees. The Central Crime Branch (CCB) grills her today after she appears before the agency.

Hema, who initially failed to appear for questioning on May 27 citing illness, requested an additional week’s time. Then, the questioning had rescheduled to June 1, which she failed to attend. The CCB has issued a second notice to eight people, including Hema, to appear for questioning. So upon questioning her today, arrest has been made by Bengaluru police.

Before this actor Hema tried to conceal her identity, providing false information, and arranging a party. The rave party, held on May 19/20, saw over 100 attendees celebrating under the guise of a birthday party, but it quickly turned into a site for extensive drug use.

Bengaluru Police reveal that Hema is among 86 individuals who test positive for drug consumption. Despite Hema’s public denial via video, her flight tickets confirm her travel to Bengaluru. The police label her statements as false. The party, titled “VASU’S BIRTHDAY” Sunset to Sunrise Victory, was held at GR Farmhouse.

The initial FIR, registered on May 19, documented complaints of public disturbance and the sale and consumption of illegal substances such as MDMA, cocaine, and hydroganja. Law enforcement, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police B. S. Mohannumar and Police Inspector B. Ayyanna Reddy, conducted the raid at 4:00 AM. They employed narcotic detection kits and other investigative tools.

Investigation and arrests

During the raid, police discovered a variety of drugs and paraphernalia, including MDMA pills, crystals, cocaine, and hydroganja, alongside DJ equipment and two cars. Among the 103 attendees tested, 86 were found to have consumed drugs. Key individuals implicated include Vasu (A1), Arun Kumar (A2), Nagababu (A3), Ranadhir Babu (A4), and Mohamadh Aboobkar Siddik (A5). The party organizer, Vasu, allegedly coordinated the event at the GR Farmhouse, owned by Gopala Reddy (A6), who claimed ignorance of the drug activities.

The total value of the seized items is estimated at around one and a half crores. The CCB, which took over the investigation from the Electronic City and Hebbagodi police stations, is set to issue notices and summon those whose blood samples tested positive.
