Begumpet Police Arrest Murder

Hyderabad: In a swift operation, the Begumpet police along with the Task Force arrested six individuals, including a juvenile, within 12 hours of a brutal murder that occurred near Ganesh Mandapam, Old Patigadda, Begumpet on June 25, 2024.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammed Aijaz (26), Mohammed Feroz (24), Sahil Khan (19), Mohammed Fazal (20), Md. Rashid (18), and Juvenile.

According to the Police, the victim, Shaik Usman, and the prime accused, Mohammed Aijaz, were childhood friends residing in the same locality. Two months ago, Aijaz discovered his sister-in-law Neha’s relationship with Usman. Disapproving of it, Aijaz warned both to end their relationship and cut off contact.

However, Usman reportedly created a fake Snapchat account for Neha and initiated conversations that led to the cancellation of her arranged marriage prospects.

Yesterday, around 6:00 PM, Aijaz’s wife informed him that Usman, his brother Hussain, and their mother had an altercation with her, claiming their son threatened suicide unless Neha agreed to marry him. Aijaz, enraged by the accusations against his sister, confronted Hussain along with other accused and threatened Usman.

Feeling his sister’s character was being maligned, Aijaz allegedly conspired with Mohammed Feroz, Sahil Khan, Mohd Fazal, and Mohd. Rasheed to eliminate Usman. Later that night, at around 11:40 PM, the accused spotted Usman with his sister on a bike.

Aizaz and his accomplices stopped the victim, dragged him to the ground, and while the others restrained him, Aijaz inflicted a fatal knife wound on Usman’s neck. The accused fled the scene upon hearing the victim’s sister’s cries.

The arrests were made under the supervision of P. Ashok, Addl. DCP, North Zone, and P. Gopala Krishna, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Begumpet Division. The operation was carried out by a team led by CH. Ramaiah, Inspector of Police, PS Begumpet, and the North Zone Task Force team.
