Actor Sonu Sood meets Kumari Aunty

Hyderabad: Actor Sonu Sood met Kumari Aunty, famous for her non-vegetarian food stall on a roadside in Hyderabad. Kumari Aunty gained fame as long queues of customers caused traffic jams, leading the police to impose restrictions, which were later lifted.

Sonu Sood, a prominent actor and public figure, took to ‘X,’ formerly known as Twitter, and posted, “You are your only limit. Kumari aunty is a testament to the quiet strength and fierce resilience that resides in each woman. Let us support, celebrate, uplift, and empower these bearers of boundless strength through our words and actions. #WomenEmpowerment.”

Sonu Sood expressed that he had heard a lot about Kumari Aunty and inquired about her well-being, discussing the menu she offers at her food stall. Kumari Aunty, in turn, praised Sonu Sood for his philanthropic nature and free services to people, thanking him warmly for visiting her stall. A massive crowd gathered to witness Actor Sonu Sood’s presence at Kumari Aunty food stall.

It was learned that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy assured on January 31 (Wednesday) that Kumari aunty’s renowned eatery will continue at its current location. The decision follows the Cyberabad police’s orders for Kumari aunty to temporarily close her eatery in Madhapur, citing traffic congestion near the ITC Kohinoor junction. Cyberabad police also advised her to find a more suitable location for her eatery.

Kumari Aunty’s eatery, which gained popularity on social media, is known for its diverse non-vegetarian cuisines. Substantial support surfaced for Kumari aunty after news of the temporary closure spread on Wednesday, with netizens expressing solidarity and urging the government to assist in continuing her eatery in Madhapur.

Revanth Reddy has requested Telangana DGP Ravi Gupta and the Municipal administration department to reconsider the decision to relocate Kumari Aunty’s street-side eatery. Additionally, he assured a visit to her establishment very soon.

An official statement from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s office reads, “Telangana Chief Revanth Reddy directed Telangana DGP Ravi Gupta and municipal administration department to revoke their decision to relocate Kumari Aunty’s street-side eatery. She will remain in her current place. Prajala Palana reflects the government’s support for entrepreneurs. The Congress government will stand by the poor and visit her stall shortly.”
