The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has made another significant arrest following the recent capture of Shiva Balakrishna. This time, a town planning officer in Hyderabad was apprehended for accepting a bribe of ₹50,000 in exchange for issuing building permission. The accused, Jagan Mohan, who serves as the Deputy Director of Town & Country Planning at the Directorate of Town & Country Planning department, was caught red-handed by the ACB on Wednesday. The bribe was solicited and received from the complainant, V Jithender Reddy, for facilitating the approval of a building construction project.

Cracking Down on Corruption: Hyderabad Town Planning Officer Caught Red-Handed Accepting Bribe:

Jagan Mohan, the Deputy Director of Town & Country Planning, was caught at his office chamber in AC Guards, Hyderabad, where he accepted the bribe from Mr. Reddy. The arrest was carried out by the ACB City Range Unit-1. The accused officer’s improper conduct was confirmed through a chemical test conducted on his left hand fingers and the contact portion of his office table’s drawer.

Jagan Mohan is currently in custody and will be presented before the Hon’ble Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at the Nampally Court in Hyderabad. The investigation into this case is ongoing. The public is urged to report any instances of bribery by public servants to the ACB’s toll-free number, 1064, for appropriate legal action.
