Hyderabad: Before enthralling the people across India, the Arunachal Pradesh’s Ziro Festival is set to capture the hearts of Hyderabadis first.
The gradually evolving cultural scene of Hyderabad will witness a medley of sustainability, culture and music as the greatest outdoor music festival ‘Ziro On Tour’ is set to hit the city of Qutub Shahis at Taramati Baradari on February 1 and 2 from 10 am to 11 pm.
The music festival promises to give you a taste of Arunachal Pradesh’s music and culture. The majestic 17th-century heritage site Taramati Baradari will come alive for two days with the stunning performances of a stellar lineup of unmissable artists, including Punjabi folk-rock legend Rabbi Shergill, Arunachal’s indie artistTaba Chake, Manipur’s folk sensation Mangka, and Mizoram’s breakout act HOM. Joining them on stage are southern icons Ram Miriyala, Shaktisree Gopalan, and Chowraasta. Adding to this musical feast are virtuoso Guitar Prasanna, Jyoti Hegde, flautist JA Jayanth, and soulful qawwals Rehmat-e-Nusrat, among others.
The music connoisseurs will have an unforgettable experience as the Ziro On Tour brings the festival’s ethos — community spirit, sustainability and passion for independent music — to urban audiences, offering a multi-sensory experience.
In addition to a musical journey, the attendees can look forward to a wide spectrum of offerings at the festival including diverse culinary, artistic, and cultural traditions of the Northeast and Telangana. Ziro festival started its journey in 2012 in Ziro Valley of Arunachal Pradesh state and today it has grown into the top outdoor music festival in the country. The event provides platforms to independent artists from India and beyond. It is also known for promoting sustainability through its eco-friendly setup using bamboo and wood.
