Hyderabad police seize motorcycle used in dangerous stunt riding after viral social media videos.

HYDERABAD: Banjara Hills police have booked a 19-year-old Zepto delivery executive for allegedly performing dangerous motorcycle stunts on public roads and posting videos of the acts on social media.

According to police, Shadab, a resident of Devarakonda Basti on Road No. 5 in Banjara Hills, works as a delivery executive for Zepto. He allegedly performed reckless bike stunts on KBR Main Road and Shameerpet Main Road and recorded videos of the acts.

The videos were later uploaded on social media platforms, including Instagram, and subsequently went viral.

Police warn against reckless riding

After noticing the videos, police took cognisance of the matter and launched an investigation. Based on the findings, Banjara Hills police registered a case against Shadab under Section 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act for allegedly endangering public safety by performing risky stunts on public roads.

Police also seized the motorcycle used in the stunts.

Officials warned youngsters against performing dangerous stunts on roads, stating that such acts pose a serious threat to both riders and other road users. They said strict action would be taken against those found engaging in reckless behaviour on public roads.
