Zeeshan Ansari Makes Ipl Debut For Srh Against Dc
Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Zeeshan Ansari made his IPL debut against Delhi Capitals in an afternoon match in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. The match was part of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), and both teams made one change to their playing XI.
After winning the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins chose to bat first. Delhi Capitals introduced KL Rahul into their lineup, replacing Samir Rizvi in a move that was widely anticipated. However, SRH’s decision to include Zeeshan Ansari in place of pacer Simarjeet Singh caught many by surprise.
Notably, Simarjeet Singh remained on the substitutes list, indicating that the decision was strategic rather than injury-related. The addition of leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari provides SRH with the flexibility to use an Indian substitute in place of Australian spinner Adam Zampa.
Zeeshan Ansari was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹30 lakh during the IPL 2025 mega auction.
