Youth electrocuted, two injured while erecting Bonalu banners in Medak
MEDAK: A 19-year-old youth was electrocuted and two others were seriously injured after an iron frame they were carrying came into contact with overhead live wires in Narsapur town on Friday morning.
Youth were making arrangements for Bonalu festivities
The incident occurred when a group of local youths was making arrangements for Bonalu celebrations and carrying iron frames to erect flexi banners.
The frames came into contact with overhead live electric wires, causing the youths to suffer electric shocks.
Malparthi Harshavardhan, 19, died on the spot. Boda Akhil and Mohd Irfan sustained serious injuries.
Injured shifted to government hospital in Narsapur
The two injured youths were rushed to the government hospital in Narsapur for treatment.
The Bonalu festivities in the area came to a halt following the incident.
