Youngistaan Foundation hosts “Plastic or Planet? For Plastic Free July” event to raise awareness on plastic pollution

Banjara Hills: A city-based NGO, Youngistaan Foundation, dedicated to tackling social issues hosted a successful event titled “Plastic or Planet? For Plastic Free July” at Lamakaan,Hyderabad’s Open cultural center, on Sunday.
The event aimed at creating awareness about the pressing issue of plastic pollution saw a crowd of over 50 passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds. The event kicked off with engaging discussions on reusable alternatives to single-use plastics, emphasizing the importance of sustainable living. Attendees were also treated to a screening of the impactful documentary “Plastic Wave,” which sparked meaningful conversations about the detrimental effects of plastic waste on our environment.
According to the official press release, In addition to the documentary, the event featured inspiring speeches and personal stories from participants, all highlighting the urgent need for collective action against plastic pollution. Discussions also focused on strategies to eradicate plastic and collaborate with the government to fight plastic pollution and save lives. The event culminated in a powerful closing address by Youngistaan Foundation’s founder, Arun, who reiterated the organization’s commitment to fostering a plastic-free future.
