Temple engineer held by ACB in Yadadri bribery case

YADADRI: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested Udepu Ramarao, senior engineer (SE) at the Yadadri Yadagirigutta temple administration, in a bribery case.
ACB arrests temple engineer in ₹1.9 lakh bribery case
Officials caught Ramarao red-handed while accepting a ₹1.90 lakh bribe from a private contractor at a shop in Uppal, Hyderabad. He was reportedly taking the money for clearing pending bills related to temple works.
Searches conducted at multiple properties
ACB officers later took Ramarao to Yadagirigutta for further questioning and began searches at his residences and properties, as well as those of his relatives.
Faces multiple earlier allegations
Sources said several complaints were already pending against Ramarao, including civil cases filed in the City Civil Court alleging fraud. Locals in Yadagirigutta have also accused him of amassing vast tracts of land in the names of relatives and associates.
