Woman Injured by Stray Bullet in Narsingi

Narsingi: A 34-year-old woman sustained bullet injury after a bullet pierced through her leg on Tuesday under Narsingi police station limits. The incident sent a flurry of emotions in the neighbourhood where this is the second incident within two weeks. The police are suspecting that the bullet might be from a firing range where Army officials who are practicing firing as a part of live fire exercise.

The victim was identified as K Padma, a- 34-year-old housewife resident of, Vidyanagar Colony, Phase II, Bairagiguda Village, Gandipet Mandal.

According to the complaint, Padma while she was indulging in washing clothes, meanwhile suddenly a bullet came and hit her left leg leaving a bleeding injury. She rushed to a nearby hospital where she was treated and the doctors removed the bullet.

Subsequently she approached Narsingi police and lodged a formal complaint with police that she was suspecting that a bullet might have fired from a firing range which is near to her house. The clues team arrived at the spot and recovered the bullet and sent it for examination. Narsingi police of Cyberabad commissionerate booked the case and started investigation.

It is pertinent to note that around two weeks ago, a stray bullet landed in an apartment in the same locality suspected to be from the Army range. Although no casualties or injuries occurred. The demand to shift the firing range has been increasing among the residents.
