Hyderabad: A restaurant in Hyderabad is under scrutiny after a woman customer found a live snail in an avocado quinoa salad she ordered online.

The photo shared by the customer on Instagram shows a live salad in the quinoa avocado salad she allegedly ordered from Shoyu restaurant via the food delivery app Swiggy. The video shows the salad and placed the snail on a tissue paper embossed with Shoyu’s logo. The bill shows that she ordered avocado salad and crispy quinoa from the eatery.

The restaurant which claims to serve “gourmet Asian cuisine” has come under fire after the customer raised serious concerns about the food safety in the food joints.

The video posted by the woman customer has received several angry reactions from netizens. A user commented, “Whom you are appealing to, bro? This should have been raised with the Food Inspection team” while another sarcastically remarked, “That fresh menu guys—they provide you fresher than you expect.”

Recently, a video went viral highlighting how a popular restaurant chain in Hyderabad, ‘Amritsar Haveli’ was found violating hygienic conditions and food safety regulations. Sharing the video of the Hyderabad’s branch of ‘Amritsar Haveli’, the Instagram user claimed that the restaurant was caught reusing the leftover onions and chutney from one table to another.

The video shows the washing area of the eatery where the staff member can be seen washing dishes in a waterlogged space. The user then confronts the staff members about the unhygienic conditions at the washing area and later questions the waiter who replies, Yeh onion use kiya hai, dusre table par nahi jaayega” (These onions have been used and won’t go to another table). The content creator then speaks to the restaurant manager who admitted that vinegar onions were indeed reused.
