Sunanda, Wife Of Ex Ips Officer Vinay Ranjan Ray, Was Found Murdered

HYDERABAD: Police found Sunanda (55), wife of former IPS officer Vinay Ranjan Ray, murdered at her home in Prashasan Nagar under Jubilee Hills police station limits on Friday. The case has triggered a multi-layered investigation, with officers examining several possible angles, including the role of domestic help and suspected gang involvement.

Investigators said early clues suggest that the accused stole gold ornaments and cash from the house after the murder. However, police stressed that they are still exploring all possible leads and have not ruled out any theory at this stage.

Senior police officers rushed to the spot soon after the incident and assessed the scene. A CLUES team and fingerprint experts collected forensic samples and other evidence from the residence.

Police suspect that a domestic help may be involved in the crime. Some early reports also point to a possible link with a gang. Based on these inputs, investigators have formed special teams to trace and arrest the suspects.

Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender also visited the crime scene. He said people from the Nepali community may be involved, but police officials have not confirmed this claim.

Officials reiterated that the investigation remains open and ongoing. They said they will examine every angle before reaching any conclusion.

More details are expected as the probe continues.
