HYDERABAD: WE Hub, India’s first state-led nodal agency for women entrepreneurs, celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of its student-focused initiative, WE Enable, marking a milestone for women’s education and entrepreneurship in the state. Six hundred young women from government and private colleges across Hyderabad completed the six-month program, emerging as a new generation of changemakers.

The ceremony featured D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT, Industries & Commerce, Telangana, who emphasized the state’s support for women-led development and the “Telangana Rising 2027” vision.

“Young women are not just learners, they are problem solvers and changemakers. I urge every young woman to ask herself, ‘Why can’t I become a role model?’ WE Hub 2.0 is enabling women to scale their aspirations and enterprises, building a strong, future-ready innovation ecosystem in Telangana,”the Minister said.

Inspiring sessions featured Priyanka Dutt, Film Producer & Entrepreneur, and Jwala Gutta, Olympian & Founder of the Global Academy for Badminton, who shared their leadership and resilience journeys.

WE Enable provided more than training; it gave participants practical exposure through mentorship, industry visits, and skill-building sessions. Over six months, participants developed skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Several launched prototypes or started campus projects, showing their ability to turn ideas into action.

Sita Pallacholla, CEO of WE Hub, stated, “As WE Hub celebrates this milestone, we continue strengthening our mission to create pathways for women to participate, lead, and thrive in every sector. The success of WE Enable’s first cohort marks the start of a larger movement that will empower thousands more to rise as the next generation of changemakers from Telangana.”

WE Hub, established by the Government of Telangana, continues to drive initiatives that enable women from all backgrounds to participate, lead, and succeed across sectors, shaping enterprises and the future of the state’s economy.
