Police and bomb squad personnel inspect Warangal District Court after bomb threat email

WARANGAL: An unidentified person sent a bomb threat email to the Warangal District Court on Thursday morning, triggering panic and a security alert.

Court staff noticed the email shortly after it was received and immediately informed the police. Authorities asked advocates, litigants and court employees to vacate the building as a precaution.

Police deploy bomb squad, evacuate court complex

Police teams, along with a bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs, conducted thorough checks inside the court halls, chambers and surrounding premises. Entry points were sealed and movement was restricted during the inspection.

No suspicious object was found during the search, officials said. After the premises were declared safe, normal activities resumed in phases.

No explosives found; cyber probe launched

Police have launched an investigation to trace the sender of the email. A cyber crime team is analysing the email’s origin and digital trail.

Officials said strict action would be taken against those responsible for issuing hoax threats. Security has been tightened in and around the court complex as a precaution.
