Minister Vivek Slams Caste Based Politics At Nizamabad Mala Meet

HYDERABAD: Minister Vivek expressed anguish that he was being targeted on social media and criticised on caste lines despite working hard in his ministerial role. Speaking at the Mala Unity Conference in Nizamabad, he alleged that Adluri Laxman was instigated to attack him politically.

“Some are conspiring against me, claiming that I will gain a good reputation if our party wins in Jubilee Hills. I do not understand why Laxman is criticising me,” Vivek said.

He dismissed rumours that he avoids events attended by Laxman, calling them “baseless.” Vivek said, “Laxman is criticising me because I belong to the Mala community. I have no attachment to the ministerial post.”

He reminded that it was Venkataswamy who politically supported and promoted Laxman. “He seems to have forgotten that,” Vivek added. Concluding, the minister said jealousy was driving the attacks against him. “I maintain cordial relations with everyone,” he said.
