Hyderabad’s Vivaan Pinnapareddy clinches Category C crown, eyes India call-up

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad golfer Vivaan Pinnapareddy has strengthened his reputation in the junior circuit with consistent performances at state and national tournaments.
Vivaan won the Junior Golf Championship organised by the Hyderabad Golf Association in February. He clinched the Category C title with a score of 79.
The youngster, who began playing golf at the age of seven, has won several state and national-level tournaments over the past four years.
Strong show in state, national tournaments
Vivaan earlier won the 2021 HGJ Junior Open and the 2023 Young Masters Golf Tour. He finished runner-up in the 2022 HG Junior Open and the 2024 HG South Zone Golf Championship.
He also secured the second runner-up position at the Madras Gymkhana golf tournament in Chennai.
In total, Vivaan has won three state championships and finished runner-up nine times.
Inspired by grandfather’s love for sport
Inspired by his grandfather’s passion for golf, Vivaan took up the sport at seven and has steadily progressed in the junior ranks.
He is now targeting international exposure and hopes to represent India, backed by consistent results in junior age-group competitions at both state and national levels.
