Hyderabad: Residents of Parvath Nagar and Vishnu Marg Road in Hyderabad are urging the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and its commissioner to address several critical issues affecting the area. The concerns primarily focus on wrong-side driving, pedestrian safety, potholes, and poor road conditions.

Speaking to Hyderabad Mail, Sumanth Reddy highlighted several problems along the route, which starts from Madhapur 100-feet road. He said, “Wrong-side driving, encroachments, lack of lane discipline, and roads filled with sand and gravel are creating an uncomfortable and unsafe environment for commuters.”

Sumanth Reddy added, “There is no safe space for pedestrians, and the traffic discipline at junctions is poor. I urge authorities to visit the area between 8-11 a.m. and 5-9 p.m. to observe the situation firsthand.”

He also raised concerns about cyclists riding on the wrong side of the road without reflective lights, making it even more dangerous, especially at night. “The road infrastructure is in poor condition, and improvements to junctions are urgently needed for better mobility,” Sumanth Reddy said.

He also pointed out that overspeeding is a significant issue, particularly in dense traffic, posing a risk to the lives of commuters. “If we don’t address these concerns now, we will face serious consequences. I’m afraid to travel on these roads every day,” Sumanth added.

Sumanth Reddy (@sumanthnallala) took to social media, tagging GHMC and the Commissioner, urging them to address the issues. His post on X (formerly Twitter) read, “@GHMCOnline @CommissionrGHMC Please observe and check what’s lacking here. This is Vishnu Marg Road. Address the issues of wrong-side driving, pedestrian safety, potholes, and damaged roads.”

Residents are calling for swift action to improve the safety and infrastructure at Vishnu Marg Road.
