Vijay Madduri questioned by Mokila police in Janwada farmhouse party drug case

Hyderabad: Vijay Madduri, a friend of former minister KT Rama Rao’s brother-in-law, Raj Pakala, appeared before the Mokila police for questioning in connection with the recent Janwada farmhouse party case. Vijay Madduri, an accused (A2) in the case, was interrogated for approximately four hours.

Based on statements made by Raj Pakala, police questioned him about the origin of the party drugs and who supplied them. Following the interrogation, Vijay Madduri was allowed to leave the Mokila police station.

The case began after a house party was hosted by Raj Pakala, the brother-in-law of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao, on the night of October 26. During the event, one of the guests tested positive for cocaine. Police raided the party, and the guests were tested with drug kits. Vijay Madduri tested positive for cocaine during the raid, prompting authorities to take him for a blood test at a nearby hospital.

An FIR filed by the Mokila police shows that Vijay Madduri tested positive for cocaine during the police operation at the Janwada farmhouse on the night of October 26-27. Following the raid, a case under Section 27 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered against him.

Vijay Madduri, 56, is an entrepreneur and the CEO of ETG Software Company, which was founded by Raj Pakala in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad. Additionally, he serves as the acting CEO of FUSION AIX Software Company.

The raid was conducted by the Narsingi police in coordination with Cyberabad’s Special Operations Team (SOT) and Excise department officials, based on specific intelligence. The police discovered a total of 35 individuals, 21 males and 14 females, at the party. The guests were served foreign liquor without proper permission from the public excise department. During the raid, officials seized seven bottles of unauthorized foreign liquor and 10 bottles of Indian liquor. Cyberabad police have also booked Raj Pakala (A1) for the possession of excess alcohol.
