Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Ranabaali’ teaser crosses 15 million views

HYDERABAD: The cinematic landscape is bracing for a storm named Ranabaali. The first official glimpse of Vijay Deverakonda’s highly anticipated period action drama has already amassed over 15 million views, signaling massive audience interest.
The film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and is directed by Rahul Sankrityan, will be released worldwide on September 11th. It presents itself as a powerful historical story set during British rule in 19th-century India.
The teaser, called the RANABAALI theme, gives a glimpse of where and when the story takes place and what the main conflict is. It takes viewers back to a time of colonial rule, showing British officers, unfair policies, and people in hardship. The story is set between 1854 and 1878, a time known for famine, economic hardship, and strong local resistance.
Sets stage for fierce period drama
The main story is shown through Vijay Deverakonda’s description of his character. The teaser shows Ranabaali as a fighter called a savage by the British rulers, but the film takes back that label. In a powerful scene, Deverakonda’s character rides a horse while dragging a British officer along railway tracks, a strong sign of fighting back against colonial rule.
Our Savage, as the actor called the character in a social media post, is shown not as a criminal but as a brave defender. This matches the filmmakers’ goal to retell the stories of people and events that were ignored or shown in a bad light in old records.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series, Ranabaali promises to be more than just a simple history lesson. The teaser, with camera work by Nirav Shah and music by Ajay-Atul, shows a mix of intense historical drama and exciting action scenes. The sets and visuals bring the time period to life, showing a clear difference between the wealth of the colonizers and the struggles of the people.
“The truth is loud and clear,” declared the film’s official social media handle, referencing the overwhelming viewer response. “15 million+ viewers are a witness to it.”
