Vijay Deverakonda slams fake Ranabali rumors claiming 60 assistants
HYDERABAD: Actor Vijay Deverakonda condemned a recent wave of false rumors on social media. Deverakonda, who became a star without any film industry background, often faces online negativity and baseless allegations about his personal and professional life.
The latest controversy centers on fake reports about the production of Deverakonda’s upcoming film, Ranabali. Viral social media posts falsely claim the actor made unreasonable on-set demands, such as asking for 50–60 assistants and several caravans. These posts also allege that the film’s producers complained about him to the Producers Council. Deverakonda’s denied all these claims, calling them completely false.
Furthermore, the misinformation campaign uses fake media branding. The misleading posts appear as if reputable news outlets published them, making the fabricated stories seem credible.
In a statement, Deverakonda’s said a small group of individuals and jealous fan communities spread these rumors. They urged the public to ignore these baseless narratives. He reaffirmed reputation as a producer-friendly professional who supports filmmakers and respects industry relationships.
He further urged media organizations and cybercrime authorities to take strong legal action against those spreading fake news and misusing media names and logos.
