VES solutions expands smart streetlight projects across Telangana, plans solar lighting
HYDERABAD: Where streetlights often burn during the day and require manual operation, a Telangana startup is proving that public infrastructure can be smarter, safer, and more efficient. Vishwakarma Evolution Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (VES Solutions) recently won a key endorsement when its founders met Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Minister for Industries and IT, Government of Telangana, to present their work and share the company’s roadmap.
“Infrastructure isn’t just about looking good. It’s about providing safety, visibility, and a sense of security to people in their everyday lives,” said E. Shashidhar, Founder & CEO, VES Solutions in an exclusive conversation with HyderabadMail.
During this meeting, Founder and CEO E. Shashidhar and Administrative Manager J. Venkat Ani briefed the Minister on completed projects, future plans, and launched the company’s website, vishwakarmaes.in. The team thanked the Minister for his support and guidance throughout the company’s growth.
Looking at the company’s origin, VES Solutions was founded to solve a common problem: streetlights in many Telangana towns still rely on manual switching. Workers operate them by hand, which wastes energy and puts them at risk, especially during the monsoon season. Bending injuries and electrical exposure in the rain are ongoing hazards.
To address this, VES Solutions developed the iMax Automatic ON/OFF Streetlight System, which uses LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) technology to detect ambient light and automatically switch streetlights on at dusk and off at dawn. This automation reduces energy waste, improves worker safety, and creates a more reliable public lighting network.
Building on this innovation, VES Solutions proved its capabilities with two projects for TGMDCL (Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation Limited) sand depots. In Hyderabad District, the company installed nine iMax high-mast lights at four locations, including Bourampet and Chikanagalapalli. In Bhadradri Kothagudem District, it commissioned 24 lights across 13 locations.
Furthermore, VES Solutions stands out for its fully integrated execution model. The company managed every stage in-house: sourcing materials, transportation, setup, electrical integration, installation, testing, and commissioning. This approach helps VES Solutions maintain quality and safety without relying on outside vendors or subcontractors.

Looking ahead, with the TGMDC installations complete and the automated streetlight system proven, VES Solutions now plans to expand into solar-powered street lighting. This move will give its infrastructure solutions energy independence and reduce grid dependence.
The meeting with Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu also addressed innovation, technology-driven development, and business growth in Telangana’s infrastructure sector. VES Solutions, which started with a single smart streetlight, is building on practical execution and planning for the future.
