Venkateswara Colony residents protest against land grabbing in Manikonda
MANIKONDA: The residents of Venkateswara Colony held protests against land grabbers who seized the community hall, open spaces, government land, and parks in Manikonda on Saturday.
The protest aimed to safeguard the common amenity land, where the Manikonda Municipality illegally granted residential permissions. They protestors demanded swift action against the land grabbing in Manikonda.
Residents of Venkateshwara Colony voiced distress over unlawful residential constructions on their shared amenity land. The President of the Resident Welfare Association urged the Manikonda municipal corporation to intervene promptly and halt the encroachment.
During the protest, residents presented the layout of Venkateshwara Colony, revealing clear encroachment evidence. They accused the Manikonda municipal corporation of granting permission for constructing G+5 floors on the community hall land. The Residents seek immediate action from GHMC and officials against the Land Grabbing in Manikonda.
