Pawan Kalyan gives clap for Varun Tej’s ‘Bhari’ launch

HYDERABAD: The highly anticipated film ‘Bhari’, starring Varun Tej, was officially launched with a pooja ceremony on Saturday. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan attended as the chief guest, adding star presence to the event.
Produced by Niharika Konidela under the Pink Elephant Pictures banner and directed by Yadu Vamsi, the film’s muhurat shot featured Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan giving the clap and Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers operating the camera. Director Merlapaka Gandhi and producer Rajeev Reddy presented the script to mark the occasion.
Varun Tej expressed his gratitude, stating, “After my film Mukunda, my uncle Pawan Kalyan garu has once again attended the launch of my film ‘Bhari’. It is a happiness to have the film begin under his blessings.”
He also expressed enthusiasm about working with his sister, saying, “It feels very special to work as a hero in a film produced by Niharika. We never actually planned to do a film together, but Vamsi’s script brought us together. I really liked the story he narrated.” Varun Tej confirmed that pre-production is complete and he has started volleyball practice. The team aims to release ‘Bhari’ next Sankranti.
Niharika Konidela reflected on the project’s significance, saying, “My father has made films with our family members, including his brothers. Today I understand how special that feeling is. Launching this film with my brother Varun Tej is very special to me.”
She described the film as “a village drama with a sports backdrop,” and praised Vamsi’s story. “I’m happy to collaborate again with the ‘Committee Kurrollu’ team.” She added, “My aim is that whenever audiences see the Pink Elephant Pictures name on a poster, they feel confident that the film will be good. This movie will definitely impress everyone.”

Director Yadu Vamsi discussed the project’s development, noting that after Committee Kurrollu, he spent a year on a story that did not materialize. “During that time, I got an idea with a volleyball backdrop. As soon as I thought of volleyball, Varun came to mind.”
He narrated the story to Niharika and approached Varun for the lead role. After completing the script in three months, Varun approved the project. At the launch, Vamsi said, “Last night, Varun surprised me by saying a guest would attend, and when I heard it was Pawan Kalyan, I was shocked. It’s a great encouragement for a young team like ours to have him here.”
Music Director Anudeep Dev stated that the music in ‘Bhari’ will have ten times more impact than Committee Kurrollu. He praised director Vamsi’s musical sensibility and noted the film offers significant scope for music.
With the launch complete, the team will begin shooting and is targeting a Sankranti release next year.
