Vaddiraju Ravichandra appointed BRS floor leader in Rajya Sabha
HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrashekhar Rao has appointed Rajya Sabha member Vaddiraju Ravichandra as the party’s Floor Leader in the Upper House. He replaces K. R. Suresh Reddy.
Appointment takes effect immediately
In a letter dated July 8, 2026, to the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha, Chandrashekhar Rao said Ravichandra had been elected Leader of the BRS Parliamentary Party in the Rajya Sabha. The appointment took effect immediately.
Ravichandra earlier served as the party’s deputy floor leader in the Rajya Sabha. His promotion marks a key change in the party’s parliamentary leadership.
Ravichandra to lead BRS in Rajya Sabha
Ravichandra is serving his second term in the Rajya Sabha from Telangana. He will lead the party’s floor coordination and raise Telangana’s issues in Parliament.
After the appointment, Ravichandra thanked Chandrashekhar Rao and BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao for their trust. He said he would work to strongly represent Telangana’s interests in the Rajya Sabha.
