Jubilee Hills police book organiser for crowd violation

HYDERABAD: Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against the organiser of the pre-release event of Ustaad Bhagat Singh for alleged violation of norms.
Permit capped at 1,500 attendees only
The event was held on March 15, Sunday, at Yousufguda police grounds. Police had granted permission for a maximum of 1,500 attendees.
Crowd exceeds limit, roads see long traffic jam
However, more than 5,000 fans turned up at the venue. The large gathering led to severe traffic congestion on roads from Jubilee Hills check-post towards Yousufguda, with traffic remaining stalled for hours.
Police said the organiser violated conditions of permission. A case has been registered under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, and an inquiry is underway.
