Morning walkers fume as Uppal Municipal Stadium a mess after NYE event
Hyderabad: Beer cans, piles of trash and other waste were littered everywhere at the Uppal Municipal Stadium following “Biggest Open Air New Year Eve 2025” on Tuesday night. The new year’s grand party was organized by Thrive Events.
When morning walkers and local residents saw the mess on Wednesday morning, they were in shock by the state of the stadium.

Several residents have expressed outrage over the state of the stadium. Some of them described it as “smelly and unclean” while others blamed the organizers for leaving the venue without a proper clean-up after the party got over.
“When we came for our morning walk today, we were greeted with the smell of alcohol and garbage everywhere. This is unacceptable,” a local resident fumed.
The organizers of “Biggest Open Air New Year Eve 2025” had received permission from the competent authorities. It appears liquor was flowing freely at the liquor-serving zone set up for the new year party.
The local residents have demanded the municipal corporation and event organizers to step forward and clean up the after party mess in the stadium. They have also urged the administration to enforce stricter rules for holding future events at the venue. At the time of filing this report, no statement was issued by the event management company Thrive Events regarding the cleaning of the party venue.
