Uppal residents protest at sub station over power cuts, KTR reacts

Uppal: Issue of power cuts has remained as one of the key concerns in the newly formed Congress Government in the state of Telangana. And it never fails to take a political turn, when residents out there are protesting for the erratic power outages.
Recently, residents of Uppal locality flocked to a substation to stage a protest against the erratic power cuts. Earlier, similar protests erupted at midnight in the locality of Bachupally and areas of Chevella as well over the shortage of power.
Reacting to the same, former minister, K Taraka Rao and working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party, took to X (formerly Twitter) and questioned the government for the quality of power supply. “CM Revanth says NO power cuts & 24 Hour uninterrupted, quality power is being supplied. Why are these people protesting at Substation?” said KTR in his post.
Residents from other localities present similar power outages
Further, several residents joined the bandwagon and raised their issues related to the power cuts in their respective localities. Another user said, “Sir This power cut is a real problem. I am at home. Currently they are doing it every now and then. In the day it starts in the morning 2/3 hrs of cut and evening too and they can’t blame rains cuz they still cut on sunny days. I have never witnessed this in your government.”
Another user claiming to be from Shivarampalli said, “Prashant colony, Shivrampally, from last 3 days continuously power cut at afternoon, midnight, when I call to them to ask why this power cut they say we are working on it and they cut the call ,no one is responding”
Meanwhile, the Congress government earlier alleged that some field level officers are indulging in intentional power cuts and vowed to take strict action and later on promised to supply uninterrupted power supply to the residents. However, there are still some areas that face shortage of power, especially in bad weather.
