Uppal junction closed for corridor works

HYDERABAD: The busy Uppal junction will remain closed from Sunday due to elevated corridor construction works near the power junction, officials said on Saturday.

Traffic restrictions have been imposed, and the road from Ring Road towards Warangal has been temporarily shut. Heavy vehicles heading towards Warangal must divert from Habsiguda junction via Nacharam, Mallapur, IOC and Chengicherla to reach the national highway.

Small vehicles can take a diversion from Uppal Indira Gandhi Park via the road behind Little Flower School to reach the Warangal highway.

Vehicles coming from Boduppal must turn at Asian Theatre, while two-wheelers from Bhagya Layout should proceed via Nagole Metro Station pillars 812 and 813 towards Uppal and Secunderabad. Heavy vehicles must take a U-turn under the Nagole bridge to reach Uppal, said zonal commissioner Radhika Gupta.

Bus stop shifted due to ongoing construction works

The bus stop for services towards Warangal, Hanamkonda and Yadagirigutta, currently located near the Uppal zonal office, has been temporarily shifted to the Nallacheruvu bund area.

Passengers asked to use temporary facility from Sunday

Passengers travelling to Warangal, Hanamkonda and Yadagirigutta have been advised to board buses from the temporary stop at Nallacheruvu bund from Sunday onwards, officials said.
