Fire damages records at Uppal 6th Metropolitan Magistrate court
GHATKESAR: Some records were damaged in a fire at the 6th Metropolitan Magistrate court room inside the Uppal court complex in Medipally, Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
Police registered a case at the Medipally police station on Thursday night.
According to police, Pulla Sai Kumar, who works as a subordinate staff member at the Uppal court complex, was on night duty when he noticed smoke emerging from the 6th MM court room around midnight.
He immediately opened the door and found that the records had caught fire. Police rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control.
Court superintendent Sandhya Kiran identified that some records had been damaged in the incident.
Police said they registered a case based on Sai Kumar’s complaint and have begun an investigation.
