UoH received a significant boost in the ‘Citations per Faculty’ indicator, where it ranked 335 globally. This metric reflects the impact and quality of research produced by the university’s faculty.

Vice Chancellor Prof. B. J. Rao expressed satisfaction with the recognition. “We are delighted to have achieved a notable ranking of 335 in the world in the ‘Citations per Faculty’ indicator. This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of our faculty and researchers,” he said.

He acknowledged, however, that the university must continue to improve in other areas. “We recognise there is room for growth in parameters such as global visibility and perception. We are committed to enhancing our performance in these areas and strengthening our presence on the global academic stage.”

In addition to ‘Citations per Faculty’, the university’s rankings in other indicators were, Academic Reputation at 692, Employer Reputation in the 701+ band, and several others, including Faculty-Student Ratio, Sustainability, and International Research Network, in the 801+ range.

The 2026 rankings are based on a comprehensive evaluation of over 19.8 million academic papers published between 2019 and 2023 and more than 200 million citations. Expert input from 1.5 million academics and over 520,000 employers worldwide also contributed to the results.
