Uber gears up to pilot its bus shuttle service in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Next time you see a bus icon in the ride section of an Uber app, don’t be surprised! The ride-hailing platform Uber is all set to begin its premium bus service in Hyderabad soon.
The ride-hailing platform’s officials are actively engaging with multiple stakeholders to launch it in the city of Nawabs. They are also planning a simultaneous pilot programme in Hyderabad and Mumbai.
Uber has launched its bus (shuttle) service in Kolkata and Delhi. Under the Uber Shuttle programme, passengers can pre-book seats on an air-conditioned bus and their chosen route via the Uber app.
Uber representatives are waiting for approval from the Transport Departments of both states to kick off the project. Uber India is hoping to ease traffic congestion on city roads through its bus shuttle service.
