Two Killed In Road Accident In Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Two men died in a road accident in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad, on February 26, 2025, when an unidentified vehicle collided with the autorickshaw they were traveling in.

The victims were identified as 48-year-old Syed Ismail, a resident of Musheerabad, and 40-year-old Syed Ghouse, a resident of Miyapur.

According to reports, Syed Ismail, Syed Ghouse, and two others had visited the wholesale fruit market at Hayathnagar and were on their way back to the city. The accident took place around evening when the autorickshaw reached Sushma Theater Road.

The vehicle struck the autorickshaw from behind, causing Ismail and Ghouse to be thrown out. Both sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Osmania General Hospital, where they were later declared dead.

A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.

In another tragic incident, Dr. Jaswanth, a house surgeon at Kamineni Hospital, was killed, and his colleague, Dr. Bhumika, also a house surgeon, was critically injured in a car accident on January 31, 2029, near Khanapur, under the Narsingi Police Station limits.

The car, reportedly speeding, struck a divider as the two doctors were returning from a function in Janwada. Dr. Jaswanth died at the scene, while Dr. Bhumika was rushed to the hospital. Despite receiving treatment, Dr. Bhumika succumbed to her injuries a few days later.

Earlier, on September 30, 2024, Dr. Nilay Reddy, a 29-year-old cornea and anterior segment fellow at LV Prasad Eye Hospital, lost his life in a road accident near Himayath Sagar on the Outer Ring Road in Rajendranagar.

Dr. Reddy’s car collided with a road divider and crashed into nearby bushes. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicated that he was traveling at 140 kilometers per hour in an area with a speed limit of 120 kilometers per hour.

On September 21, 2024, a woman, identified as 32-year-old Raga Jyothi, was killed after being struck by a lorry while crossing the road in Medchal. She suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, on September 18, 2024, 35-year-old Neeta, a resident of Nacharam, was killed when a lorry loaded with gas cylinders struck her as she was returning home after dropping her children off at school. She was on her scooter when the accident occurred after a school bus left without stopping.
