Two Illegal Brothel Rings Dismantled In Hyderabad, 18 Detained, Including Bangladesh Nationals

Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, along with Chaderghat and Khairatabad Police, raided two illegal brothel houses in the Chaderghat and Khairatabad areas, arresting 18 individuals, including two minors. The operation revealed a trafficking ring exploiting women from Bangladesh.

The arrested individuals are primarily foreign nationals from Bangladesh and West Bengal, who were involved in running illegal brothel operations across Hyderabad. The investigation uncovered that these individuals were part of a network that trafficked women from Bangladesh to India under false pretenses, exploiting them in brothels.

In the first case, registered under Crime No. 92/2025 by Chaderghat Police, several suspects were arrested, including Rajat Mandal, a 39-year-old sweets business owner from Malakpet, Hyderabad, originally from West Bengal; Jalil Sardar, a 36-year-old laborer from Katedan, Hyderabad, also from West Bengal; Bisti Gazi, an 18-year-old housewife from West Bengal; Kamarul Shekh, a 36-year-old tailor from Alwal, Secunderabad; Mohd Rony Khan, a 28-year-old Ola bike rider from Rajendra Nagar, RR District, originally from Bangladesh; Mahbur Sardar, a 35-year-old tailor from Alwal, Hyderabad; Kum. Arohi Mandal, a 21-year-old massage parlour worker from West Bengal; and Mohd Bilal Riza Ul Shaik, a 34-year-old waterproofing worker from Katedan, Hyderabad, originally from Mumbai. Additionally, two minor girls were rescued from the brothel during the operation.

The second case, filed under Crime No. 59/2025 by Khairatabad Police, involved suspects including Ajarul Sekh, a 38-year-old laborer from West Bengal; Rahul Shariful Shaikh, a 26-year-old Rapido driver from Hafeezpet, Hyderabad, originally from Bangladesh; Rohit Mandal, a 29-year-old resident of Bangalore, originally from Bangladesh; Ritoy Islam, a 24-year-old bus cleaner from Alwal, Secunderabad; Mousomi Shaik, a 30-year-old beauty parlour worker from Somajiguda, Hyderabad; Babu Shaik, a 37-year-old Rapido driver from Somajiguda, Hyderabad; and Shathi Akther, a 26-year-old beauty worker from Somajiguda, Hyderabad. All the suspects in this case are originally from Bangladesh.

The investigation revealed that brokers from West Bengal, including Kamarul Shaik and Azarul Shaik, had orchestrated the illegal migration of Bangladeshi nationals to run brothels in Hyderabad and other cities like Bangalore. They targeted women facing financial difficulties in their home country, promising them jobs in India. The brokers charged between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 per person for facilitating the migration and provided fake Indian IDs to assist in their illegal entry. These women were then forced into prostitution.

Following a tip-off, the Task Force and local police conducted simultaneous raids on the brothel houses in Chaderghat and Khairatabad. During the raids, several of the arrested suspects, including Ritoy Islam, Md. Rony Khan, Jalil Sardar, and Rajat Mandal, were found to have criminal records in previous cases involving theft and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The arrested individuals, along with the rescued minors, have been handed over to the Chaderghat and Khairatabad Police for further legal action. Investigations into the operation are ongoing.
