Two domestic theft cases cracked in Secunderabad, gold and silver worth ₹31 lakh recovered

HYDERABAD: North Zone Police have detected two domestic theft cases reported from Karkhana and Bollarum police station limits and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth about ₹31 lakh, officials said.

In the Karkhana police station case, a woman working as a maid servant and her husband were arrested for repeatedly stealing gold ornaments and gold biscuits from the house where she was employed. Police recovered 24.2 tulas of gold from their possession. Both accused were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.

In a separate case under the Bollarum police station limits, police arrested a maid servant for stealing gold and silver ornaments from the house where she was working. The recovery included 7.1 tulas of gold and 61 tulas of silver, police said.

Police advised residents to verify domestic help thoroughly before employment, ensure valuables are kept securely locked, and report any suspicious activity immediately to Dial 100.
