Hyderabad: Tummala launches farmer kits distribution today

HYDERABAD: Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said the state will distribute ‘farmer kits’ across Telangana on Tuesday.
The minister said the distribution will begin under the National Natural Farming Scheme. The programme will be launched from the Secretariat as part of the ‘Rythu Nestham’ initiative.
Kits aim to promote natural farming awareness
Tummala Nageswara Rao said the scheme aims to create awareness among farmers about natural farming practices. Each kit will include a cloth bag, field guide, identity card, calendar, cap and diary.
Over 61,000 farmers to receive kits
A total of 61,125 farmers across 489 clusters will benefit from the programme, the minister added.
