3,760 candidates shortlisted for Telangana FSL written exams; tests from March 5

HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) on February 18, 2026, announced that 3,760 candidates have been shortlisted for written examinations as part of the ongoing direct recruitment process for the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).
The shortlisted candidates were filtered after certificate verification conducted from January 20 to January 31, 2026. Of the 4,664 candidates called, 3,760 attended and completed verification.
The board said it undertook data verification and purification of information submitted during certificate scrutiny, in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
Shortlisting done in 1:5 ratio
As per the notification, candidates were shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 five candidates for each notified post covering all horizontal and vertical reservations. The shortlisting was based on merit determined by weightage marks.
Post-wise details of shortlisted candidates and cut-off marks have been uploaded on the official website, www.tgprb.in.
Candidates who were not qualified for the written examinations can seek clarification online through their login on the TSLPRB website from 08.00 IST on February 18, 2026, to 08.00 IST on February 21, 2026.
A fee of ₹500 per clarification, for each post opted, must be paid through the board’s payment gateway.
Written exams from March 5 to 7
The written examinations will be held from March 5 to March 7, 2026, at the Police Training Centre, Medchal, Hyderabad.
Each technical paper will be of one-hour duration. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before completion.
The written test will consist of 10 compulsory short descriptive questions of approximately 100 words each. The preliminary evaluation will be for 100 marks, at 10 marks per question.
The marks secured in the written examination will be scaled as per the weightage prescribed in the notification to determine overall merit.
