Traffic diversions in Hyderabad: BHEL Junction work causes route changes on March 7-8

Hyderabad: In view of ongoing work at the BHEL junction and the commissioning of the Phase-II 1500 mm PSC pipeline along the National Highway, traffic diversions will be in place on March 7 and 8, 2025. This is to facilitate the shifting of the pipeline and avoid inconvenience to commuters.
A 48-hour shutdown is required at the MWSS Phase-II Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and the 1500 mm diameter PSC pumping main from Kalabgoor to Hydernagar. The shutdown will impact traffic and require necessary diversions.
The Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Cyberabad, has issued a traffic advisory to manage the situation and ensure smooth traffic flow during this period.
Traffic Diversion Points:
1. Patancheruvu to Chandanagar: Traffic will be diverted to the New BHEL flyover and proceed straight to Chandanagar.
Time Period: Round the clock
2. Patancheruvu to Lingampally-Nallagandla: Traffic will be diverted to the service road at BHEL flyover, right turn at CMR Shopping Mall, underpass, and right turn to Lingampally-Nallagandla.
Time Period: Round the clock
3. Lingampally to Chandanagar: Traffic coming from Lingampally will be diverted via BHEL Circle, Zaheerabad Bus Stop, Ashoknagar U-turn, BHEL flyover, and Chandanagar.
Time Period: Round the clock
4. Ameenpur to Chandanagar: Traffic from Ameenpur to Chandanagar will be diverted at Sridevi Theatre, right turn at BHEL X Road, and proceed to Chandanagar.
Time Period: Round the clock
Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the traffic police to ensure the free flow of traffic.
