Traffic disruptions in Shapurnagar for 60 days starting March 6 due to pipeline work
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions as work begins on the laying and replacement of a damaged 1200 mm diameter PSC pipeline with a new MS pipeline. The work, which is set to take place between Sri Sai Weigh Bridge and Ranga Bhujanga Theatre in Shapurnagar, will continue for the next 60 days, beginning March 6, 2025, under the limits of Jeedimetla Traffic Police Station.
Commuters are advised to follow the designated alternate routes to avoid congestion in the affected areas. The following traffic diversions will be in place:
1. Subash Nagar towards Bahadurpally-Gandimaisamma
Traffic from Subash Nagar towards Bahadurpally-Gandimaisamma will be diverted at Sai Kanta Junction. Drivers will be directed to take a right turn, proceed through Jeedimetla Industrial Area, JETL Kaman, Suraram, and continue to Bahadurpally-Gandimaisamma.

2. Gandimaisamma towards Subash Nagar
Traffic coming from Gandimaisamma towards Subash Nagar will be diverted at JETL Kaman. Commuters will take a right turn through the industrial area, then proceed via Sai Kanta to Subash Nagar.

3. Subash Nagar towards Balanagar
Traffic will be diverted at Sai Kanta Junction. Motorists will take a left, followed by a right at Sai Darshini Hotel, then another left towards Chinthal, IDPL, and continue to Balanagar.

4. Balanagar towards Subash Nagar
Traffic from Balanagar towards Subash Nagar will be diverted at Sana Bawarchi Hotel. Drivers will take a U-turn, turn left at Adarsh Bank Lane, and proceed via Sai Kanta to Subash Nagar.

The Traffic Police have urged the public to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with traffic authorities to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles during the construction period.
