Traffic advisory for Ganesh immersion in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In view of Ganesh immersion procession Hyderabad city police commissioner C.V. Anand issued a traffic advisory for Tuesday. Further in order to relieve congestion, to maintain smooth flow of traffic and to ensure public safety and order in connection with the Ganesh Immersion Procession, the following Traffic Regulations will be implemented said Hyderabad police in the advisory

Procession Routes

The Main Procession enters in to Hyderabad Commissionerate jurisdiction from Balapur at Katta Maisamma Temple on Gurram Chervu tank and passes through Keshavagiri – Chandrayangutta Fly over – Left Turn – MBNR X Road –Falaknumah Railway Over Bridge – Aliabad – Nagulchinta – Charminar – Madina – Afzalgunj – SA Bazar – M.J. Market – Abids X Road – Basheer bagh – Liberty Junction – Ambedkar Statue towards NTR Marg and PVNR Marg (Necklace Road).
The Procession from Secunderabad passes through Sangeeth Theatre – Patny – Paradise junction – MG Road – Ranigunj – Karbala Maidan – Sonabai Mosque – Tank Bund and reach NTR Marg and PVNR Marg (Necklace Road). The idols coming from Chilkalguda X roads take the route of Gandhi Hospital – RTC X Road – Narayanaguda Flyover – Narayanaguda Y Junction – Himayath Nagar and join the main procession at Liberty Junction.
The Procession from East Zone and Uppal area passes through Ramanthapur – Sree Ramana Junction – 6 No. Junction – Tilak Nagar – Shivam Road – NCC of OU – Vidya Nagar T Junction – Hindi Mahavidyalaya X Roads – Fever Hospital – TY Mandali – Barkathpura X roads – YMCA and reach Narayanaguda X Road and join the procession coming from the RTC X Roads.   The idols coming from Dilsukhnagar joins the procession coming from IS Sadan – Saidabad – Chanchalguda at Nalgonda X roads and the bigger idols proceed towards Amberpet via Moosarambagh.  The idols coming from Tarnaka side proceed towards Osmania University Distance Education Road, Adikmet and joins the procession at Fever Hospital via Vidyanagar.
The processions coming from Tolichowki, Rethi bowli and Mehdipatnam sides passes through Masab Tank – Ayodhya Junction – Nirankari Bhavan – Dwaraka Hotel Junction – Iqbal Minar and reach NTR Marg and PVNR Marg (Necklace Road).  The idols coming from Erragadda pass through SR Nagar – Ameerpet – Panjagutta – Khairatabad and join the procession coming from Mehdipatnam at Nirankari Bhavan and proceed to NTR Marg and PVNR Marg (Necklace Road). The idols coming from Tappachabutra and Asifnagar areas pass through Sitarambagh – Boiguda Kaman – Volga Hotel X roads – Aghapura (Syndicate bank) – Goshamahal Baradari  – Alaska – Malakunta junction and join the main procession at MJ Market.
No traffic other than the idol carrying vehicles will be allowed to move on the above Main Procession route between 6 AM on Sept, 17 2024  and 10 Am on Sept, 18, 2024. These traffic restrictions will be extended if the situation demands.  The traffic restrictions on NTR Marg, PVNR Marg (Necklace Road), Tank Bund and Khairatabad Flyover may extend from 6 Am on Sept, 17 2024 to the evening of Sept, 18, 2024.

Traffic Diversion Points

Movement of vehicles other than those carrying Ganesh Idols will be restricted and diverted at many points located along the main procession route and at other points adjoining the routes of other tributary processions. The facility to cross from the West to East or vice versa is provided at Basheerbagh Junction only.   The commuters are advised to use the Inner Ring Road and Masab Tank – Punjagutta – Begumpet and Secunderabad route or Outer Ring Road to avoid the traffic diversion points.   All the side roads and lanes leading to the Main Procession route will be barricaded.
The main traffic diversion points are:
South East zone: Keshavagiri, Chandrayangutta X Road, MBNR X Road, Chanchalguda Jail X Roads, Moosarambagh and Chaderghat Bridge.
South Zone: Engine Bowli, Shamsheer gunj, Nagul Chintha, Himmathpura, Hari Bowli, Asra Hopsital, Moghalpura, Lakkad Kote, Panch Mohalla, Paris Café, Gulzar House, Mitti-Ka-Sher, Kali Kaman, Osman bazaar, Sheran Hotel, Madina X Road, Nayapool, SJ Rotary, Arman Hotel, MJ Bridge,  Darul Shifa X Roads, City College, Moosabowli, Murgi Chowk and Moti galli.
East Zone: Shivaji Bridge, Afzalgunj, Putlibowli X Roads, Troop Bazar, Jambagh X Roads and Koti Andhra Bank
South West Zone: MJ Bridge, Puranapul, Tope Khana Mosque, Feel khana, Alaska Hotel Junction, Darussalam, Osmangunj, Sanker Bagh and Seena Hotel, Ajantha Gate near Exhibition Grounds.
Central Zone: Chapel Road Entry, Gadwal Centre at GPO, Shalimar Theatre, Gun foundry, Skyline road entry, Bharath Scouts and Guides Junction in Domalguda, Kalanjali at Control Room, Chapel Road, AR Petrol Pump at KLK Building, Liberty Junction, Abkari Lane, Taj Island, MCH Office Y junction, BRK Bhavan junction near Telugu Thalli Junction, Iqbal Minar, Ravindra Bharathi, Dwaraka Hotel Junction, Khairatabad Junction, Children’s Park, Mariott Hotel junction, Kawadiguda Junction, Musheeerabad X road, RTC X road,  Katta Maisamma Temple on Lower Tank Bund road and Indira Park Junction.
North Zone: Traffic will not be allowed to enter the PVNR Marg (Necklace Road) and Upper Tank Bund from Karbala Maidan, Buddha Bhavan, Sailing Club and Nallagutta Junction.
The traffic will be diverted at the following points from 6 AM on Sept, 17 2024  and 10 AM on Sept, 18, 2024 or till the completion of immersion at CTO junction, YMCA junction, Paradise X Roads, Patny X Roads, Bata X Roads, Adavaiah X Roads and Ghasmandi X Roads.

Parking places for Visitors:

The visitors and devotees coming to witness the Ganesh Immersion have to park their vehicles at the following places and proceed by foot to the places of immersion: NTR Stadium, Katta Maisamma Temple, Lower Tankbund, Public Gardens, Back side of Buddha Bhavan (Necklace Road Entrance), Adarsh Nagar road (entry through HTP Junction beside Kalanjali Showroom), BRK Bhavan and GHMC Head Office road, Institute of Engineers at Khairatabad Jn. and MMTS Station Khairatabad.

Lorries Movement:

 

A) EXIT ROUTE FOR EMPTY TRUCKS / LORRIES AFTER IMMERSION:

After immersion on NTR Marg, the empty trucks / Lorries should proceed to their destination via Necklace Road Rotary – Khairtabad flyover – V.V.Statue Jn. – KCP Jn. and onwards. They will not be allowed to return towards Lakdi Ka Pool – Telugu Thalli Statue or Mint Compound road.
After immersion on PVNR Marg at People’s Plaza and baby ponds the empty Trucks / Lorries should proceed to their destination via Necklace Road Rotary – Right Turn – Khairatabad Fly Over – VV Statue Jn. – KCP Jn. and onwards. They will not be allowed to exit through Sanjeevaiah Park.
After immersion on NTR Marg (after midnight), the empty vehicles should proceed to their destination via Telugu Thalli Jn. – Old Ambedkar Statue – Tankbund – Children Park – Goshala – Banda Maisamma – Indira Park – RTC X Roads and onwards.
B) RESTRICTIONS ON HEAVY COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AND TRAILERS (INTER  DISTRICT & NATIONAL PERMIT) AND LOCAL LORRIES: They will not be allowed to enter the City and their movements has to be terminated on the out skirts of the city and take the Outer Ring Road.
Further the local lorries and construction equipment vehicles will not be allowed to enter the city from 6 AM on Sept, 17 2024  and 10 AM on Sept, 18, 2024
RTC Buses Movement
1) RTC city service buses: The Traffic Diversion Points mentioned at Para (II) above will also apply to the RTC City Region buses. When the procession is at its peak, the RTC Buses will not be allowed beyond the following junctions:
1) Masab Tank (Mehdipatnam buses)
2) V.V. Statue (Kukatpally buses)
3) CTO, Plaza, SBH, Clock Tower, Chilkalguda x road (Secunderabad buses)
4) Ramanthapur T.V. Station (Uppal Buses)
5) Gaddi Annaram, Chaderghat (Dilsuknagar buses)
6) Danamma Huts  (Rajendra Nagar)
7) I.S.Sadan (Ibrahimpatnam & Midhani buses)
8) YMCA, Narayanaguda (Inter City Special Buses)
9) Tarnaka (No RTC Bus will be allowed beyond Tarnaka Junction towards Jamia
Osmania Flyover)
2) Route for Inter State / District Buses to reach the MGBS at Imlibun:
Buses coming from Rajeev Rahadari and NH-7 should go via JBS –YMCA – Sangeet X road – Tarnaka – Jamia Osmania flyover – Vidya Nagar T Junction – Hindi Maha Vidyalaya – Fever Hospital – TY Mandali – Barkatpura – Tourist Hotel – Nimboli Adda – Chaderghat.
Buses coming from Bengaluru should go via Aramgarh x road – Chandrayana gutta X Road – I.S. Sadan – Nalgonda X Road – Chaderghat.
Buses coming from Mumbai/NH 9 should go via Godrej ‘Y’ Junction – Narsapur X Roads – Bowenpally – JBS – YMCA – Sangeeth Theatre – Tarnaka Jamia Osmania flyover – Vidya Nagar T Junction – Hindi Maha Vidyalaya – Fever Hospital – TY Mandali – Barkatpura – Tourist Hotel – Nimboli Adda  – Chaderghat.
The movement of above Inter State/District buses will be restricted from 6 AM on Sept, 17 2024  and 10 AM on Sept, 18, 2024.
The TGRTC authorities are requested to take alternative routes convenient to them keeping in view the restrictions imposed on the movement of vehicular traffic on the roads notified above.
Private Buses:
 Private Travel Buses (Private Contract Carriages) should operate from their locations outside the City and they should not enter the city from 0800 hours on 17-09-2024 to 1000 hours on 18-09-2024.
Route/ Junctions to be avoided
MJ Market, Khairatabad, G.P.O (Abids), Liberty, Ranigunj, Telugu Thalli Statue, Kavadiguda, Narayanaguda X Roads, RTC X Roads, Musheerabad X Roads, Tank Bund, NTR Marg, Necklace Road (PVNR Marg) and People’s Plaza.
All people coming from the Airport or going to the Airport should avoid using the Necklace Road, NTR Marg, Tank Bund Road and Main procession route as shown in the Map. They are advised to use the PVNR Express Way or Outer Ring Road. Similarly, people going or coming from Secunderabad Railway Station should use the route via Begumpet, Paradise Flyover, St. John’s Rotary and Sangeeth X Road.  The passengers going to the MGBS and other Bus Stations are advised to avoid the above roads and board the RTC buses on the City outskirts to reach their destinations.
Immersion at Baby ponds
The devotees can also immerse the idols enroute at the following immersion ponds:
i) Baby Ponds: 1) Jaipal Reddy Spoorthy Sthall, 2) beside Herbal Spices Garden, Opp. Sanjeeviah Park, 3) Green Park Point, beside Jalavihar,       4) Saidabad Housing Board Colony, 5) Friends Colony, Moosarambagh,     6) Bathukamma Bavi, Gowlipura, 7) Vyshali Nagar, IS Sadan,                  8) Shivalayam Riyasath Nagar, 9) Laxmaneshwara Swamy Temple, Hamam Bowli, 10) Rajana Bavi, Jangammet
ii) Portable Water Tanks: 1) NTR Stadium-2, 2) Ramleela Ground, Chintalbasthi, 3) Marredpally Play Ground, 4) GHMC Ground, Chilkalguda,  5) Ameerpet Play Ground, 6) Ali Café, Amberpet-2, 7) SBA Garden, 100 Feet Road, Kulsumpura, 8) Exhibition Grounds, Nampally-2.
iii) Excavation Ponds: 1) Pillar No. 54, PVNR Express way, 2) Ramleela Ground, Chintal basthi, 3) Jamsingh Nagar, Gudimalkapur, 4) 100 Ft. Road, Dhobi ghat, 5) Maruti Nagar Shaikpet, 6) NTR Stadium-2, 7) Ali Café, 8) Chilkalguda Municipal Ground.
