Avoid delays: Traffic advisory for Bathukamma festivities on Upper Tank Bund!
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police has issued a traffic advisory in connection with the Saddula Bathukamma celebrations scheduled for October 10, 2024. The event will take place from Amaraveerula Smaraka Sthupam to Bathukamma Ghat (Rotary Children’s Park) on Upper Tank Bund, and traffic congestion is expected in the vicinity between 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
During the festivities, traffic will be halted or diverted at the following locations based on local traffic conditions:
Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted towards Telugu Thalli Flyover. Traffic from V.V. Statue and Khairatabad Flyover heading to NTR Marg will be redirected at Necklace Rotary towards Prasad’s IMAX and Mint Compound Lane.
Traffic from Ranigunj towards PVNR Marg (Necklace Road) will be diverted at Nallagutta “X” roads towards Minister Road. Traffic from Minister Road towards PVNR Marg (Necklace Road) will not be allowed and will be diverted at Nallagutta “X” roads towards Ranigunj.
Traffic coming from Liberty towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at Old Ambedkar Statue towards Iqbal Minar. Traffic from Secunderabad heading to Upper Tank Bund will be redirected at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.
Traffic from Dhobi Ghat towards Children’s Park/Upper Tank Bund will not be allowed and will be diverted at DBR Mills towards Kawadiguda “X” roads. Traffic from DBR Mills will be diverted at Kawadiguda “X” roads towards Jabbar Complex and CGO Towers.
Traffic from CGO Towers intending to go towards Sailing Club will be diverted at Kawadiguda “X” roads towards DBR Mills and Jabbar Complex.
RTC Buses Diversion:
All inter-district RTC buses coming from Secunderabad towards MGBS via Tank Bund will be diverted at Sweekar-Upakar Junction towards YWCA, Sangeeth, Mettuguda, Tarnaka, Nallakunta, Fever Hospital “X” roads, Barkathpura, Tourist Hotel, Nimboli Adda, Chaderghat, Rangmahal, and MGBS. City buses approaching Tank Bund will also be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.
Citizens are advised to avoid the following junctions due to expected traffic congestion and they are Old Saifabad PS (Dwaraka Hotel), Iqbal Minar, Telugu Thalli Junction, Necklace Rotary, Liberty, Old Ambedkar Statue, Kavadiguda Crossroads, Katta Maisamma, Karbala Maidan, Ranigunj, Nallagutta, and Khairathabad Flyover.
Parking Arrangements:
1. NTR Stadium
2. Race Course Road on NTR Marg
3. Road between GHMC Office and BRK Bhavan
4. Lower Tank Bund Road
