TPCC Chief slams Kishan Reddy’s Musi Nidra Campaign as ‘Photo Op’

TPCC Chief Criticizes Kishan Reddy's Musi Nidra Campaign

Hyderabad: Telangana PCC Chief Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud has launched a scathing attack on BJP and Union Minister for Coal and Mines Kishan Reddy’s recent ‘Musi Nidra campaign’. He dismissed it as a mere photo opportunity and accused BJP and BRS of conspiring to derail the Musi river’s development project.

In retaliation to Kishan Reddy’s criticism of the Congress government’s Musi rejuvenation plan, Goud said, “Kishan Reddy spent one night by the Musi after spraying mosquito and fly repellents. Even wearing socks shows the real condition of residents there. If you’re serious, stay for three months – our CM challenges you, and I’ll join too.”

The PCC Chief questioned the effectiveness of Reddy’s one-day protest: “What did he achieve by sleeping for a day? People there are getting sick daily. You can’t understand their plight in a publicity stunt.”

Goud accused the BJP of fearing Telangana’s development. “They’re afraid Telangana will surpass Gujarat. Why are they acting like Gujarat’s slaves? Telangana will compete with the world,” he asserted. He questioned the disparity in treatment between the Sabarmati Riverfront project and Musi River development.

Addressing concerns about displaced residents, Goud said, “We will provide double bedroom houses to Musi residents and educational opportunities for their children. After the DPR is complete, we’ll know where the retaining wall will be built. Our government will ensure no one faces injustice.”

Bulldozer rule Is Yogi’s style, not ours: Goud

Goud criticized BJP’s governance style, stating, “Bulldozer rule is not ours – that’s Yogi Adityanath’s style.”

The Congress leader linked the protest to other political developments, suggesting it was meant to divert attention from KTR’s alleged involvement in the Lagacharla attack.
Further, Goud reiterated, “We will clean up Musi. This isn’t about politics – it’s about development, and we’re committed to it.”
