Town Planning Officer in Adibatla Held by ACB for ₹75,000 Bribe

HYDERABAD: A Town Planning Officer of Adibatla Municipality was arrested on November 13, 2025, after Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught him allegedly receiving a ₹75,000 bribe through his assistant for processing a building permission file.
Bribe allegedly taken to clear G+4 permission
ACB officials said Bandela Vara Prasad, Town Planning Officer of Adibatla Municipality in Ibrahimpatnam mandal, Rangareddy district, allegedly demanded money from a complainant to process and issue a G+4 building construction permission.
The amount was allegedly collected on his behalf by Vadala Vamshi Krishna, an outsourcing assistant working under him.
Money recovered from assistant, both arrested
The bribe amount of ₹75,000 was recovered from the possession of the assistant. ACB officials said both officers had acted dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
The two were arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases at Nampally. The complainant’s identity has been withheld for security reasons. The case is under investigation.
