Toopran Police Recover 96g Stolen Gold

TOOPRAN: Police arrested an accused in connection with a burglary reported from Pillutla village in Shivampet mandal of Medak district and recovered stolen jewellery, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Narender Goud said on Friday.

According to the DSP, a theft was reported at the house of Babburi Srisailam two days ago. Based on the victim’s complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation.

Relative confesses during police inquiry

Police questioned Babburi Gopal, a relative of the complainant from the same village, on suspicion. During the inquiry, he allegedly confessed to the theft.

Police recovered 96.35 grams of gold jewellery, 721 grams of silver ornaments, one mobile phone and ₹2,500 in cash from his possession, the DSP said.

Police team commended for swift investigation

The DSP appreciated Circle Inspector Venkataraj Goud, Shivampet Sub-Inspector Madhukar Reddy and other police personnel for solving the case within 48 hours.
