Tomcom Signs Mous To Open Up 500 Job Opportunities In Japan For Telangana Youth

Hyderabad: In a significant step toward expanding international job opportunities for the youth of Telangana, the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Ltd. (TOMCOM) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with TERN (TGUK Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) and Raj Group. The agreements were formalized in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during his official visit to Japan.

TOMCOM, a government-run agency under the Department of Labour, Employment, Training & Factories, is working to connect skilled professionals from Telangana with global job markets. Through these new partnerships, the focus will be on meeting workforce demands in Japan across multiple sectors.

TERN, which operates from Tokyo’s Shinagawa district, specializes in international recruitment in software, engineering, and Japan’s Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program. Raj Group, already collaborating with TOMCOM in training and placing caregivers in Japan, is working in partnership with Tsukui Corporation Ltd., one of Japan’s leading employers in nursing care. With the new agreement, their collaboration will now extend to additional sectors beyond healthcare.

Together, the two Japanese employers have identified a demand for around 500 workers from Telangana over the next one to two years. The roles include approximately 200 positions in healthcare, 100 in engineering fields such as automotive, mechanical, and computer science, 100 in hospitality, and another 100 in construction-related trades including civil engineering, building works, infrastructure development, and equipment handling.

This initiative is part of TOMCOM’s ongoing mission to broaden the scope of overseas employment options for young professionals in the state. It also aligns with the Telangana government’s goal to promote global workforce mobility and improve access to international careers.

The new agreements are expected to lay the foundation for long-term cooperation, creating a steady pipeline of skilled talent from Telangana to Japan’s evolving labor market, while reinforcing the state’s image as a trusted source of global manpower.
