Residents express frustration over poor roads under Tolichowki Flyover

Poor road conditions Tolichowki

Tolichowki: Residents and commuters are expressing their frustration over the deteriorating road conditions under the Tolichowki Flyover in front of Noesis Junior College. They are urging Kausar Mohiuddin, the Member of Legislative Assembly representing the Karwan Constituency, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to address these ongoing road issues.

The concerns were brought to light by a social media user, TG Citizen (@Citizen_TS), who took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to voice the plight of the community. “Sir @kausarmohiuddin, how long do people have to suffer with bad roads and water stagnation every time it rains? @GHMCOnline @CommissionrGHMC @gadwalvijayainc @ZC_Khairatabad @PrlsecyMAUD @asadowaisi,” he tweeted.

In response, the official GHMC Online account stated, “Dear citizen, the area AE (Engineering) is informed to inspect the site and provide an update on the status. @karwan_EE @DC_Karwan.”

While speaking with the Hyderabad Mail, TG Citizen, a social enthusiast dedicated to keeping Hyderabad clean, chose to remain anonymous. He expressed disappointment, saying, “It’s the same old story. Sewerage work is in progress, but roads are never repaired for the convenience of commuters. Even though GHMC replies online, action is lacking offline.”

He added, “Nearly a lakh people travel through this road daily. How can anyone navigate these pathetic roads filled with huge potholes? When it rains, it becomes a nightmare, as water floods the area, and new riders may not even realise there are potholes, leading to potential accidents that could cause harm or even fatalities.”

He suggested that if officials could promptly address the issues, even temporary solutions would alleviate some of the inconveniences faced by commuters.

Residents are hoping that local leaders will take immediate action to address these urgent road conditions and improve safety for all commuters.
