Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Felicits India Cricketer Tilak Varma
HYDERABAD: India all-rounder Tilak Varma visited Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence after India’s historic T20 World Cup 2026 win. The Chief Minister felicitated Varma and praised his contributions to the team’s success.
The ceremony also included Ministers Srihari Vakiti and Azhar Flicks, Rajya Sabha MP Vem Narender Reddy, Telangana Sports Authority Chairman Shiv Sena Reddy, and other senior officials.
Varma played an important role in India’s campaign. After returning from injury, he scored 44 off 16 balls against Zimbabwe and strengthened the middle order. Although he faced some inconsistency in the league stage, he impressed with strike rotation, fielding, and a key wicket against England in the semifinals. While he did not top the scoring charts, Varma’s performance showcased his talent and helped India reach the later stages of the tournament.
