Hyderabad’s Tilak Varma gets grand welcome at Shamshabad

HYDERABAD: Cricketer Tilak Varma, who played a key role in India’s victory in the Asia Cup final, received a rousing welcome at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, on Monday night.
Tilak landed at 8.30 pm from Dubai, where the final match was held. Supporters gathered in large numbers at the airport to greet him.
Sports Authority of Telangana chairman Sivasena Reddy and MD Soni Baladev were among those who welcomed Tilak. Fans showered him with flowers and raised slogans as he greeted them with folded hands before leaving for his home.
