JAGTIAL: A tiger movement in Kodimyal mandal of Jagtial district has caused alarm after it killed cattle for the second consecutive day in Gangaram Thanda village.

The tiger killed a cow early on Sunday, followed by another milch cow early on Monday. Villagers expressed fear as the animal is reportedly moving close to the settlement.

Forest officials, led by District Forest Officer Ravi Prasad, inspected the spot after receiving information. Authorities said a special tracking team from Bengaluru has reached Nizamabad to assist in monitoring the tiger.

CCTV cameras have been installed to track the animal’s movement. Farmers have stopped going to their fields due to fear.

Officials provided immediate relief of ₹5,000 each to the owners of the two dead cattle.

Forest Range Officer Moinuddin said the animal is likely a male tiger, around four years old.
