TiE Hyderabad names Telangana’s top 50 startups for 2025
HYDERABAD: TiE Hyderabad, in partnership with the Government of Telangana, has announced ‘TiE 50’ a new initiative recognising the top 50 promising startups from the state with high growth potential. The announcement was made at the Hyderabad Entrepreneurship Summit (HES 2025).
The initiative, led by Murli Kakarla, Vice-President of TiE Hyderabad, aims to “champion the most promising, fast-growing companies in Telangana” through mentorship, market access, and funding support.
294 applications received; 50 startups selected
The 2025 cohort features 50 ventures across technology, health, sustainability, manufacturing, and analytics. These include Ambiator Pvt Ltd, Achala Health Services Pvt Ltd, AltNxt Energy Pvt Ltd, Arthashastra Intelligence, Avinya NeuroTech Pvt Ltd, BeAble Health Pvt Ltd, Benefic Nutrition Pvt Ltd, Biome Sustainability Ventures Pvt Ltd, Bioreform Pvt Ltd, CoKarma Coworking Spaces, Deepgrid Semi Pvt Ltd, Hesa Enterprises Pvt Ltd, Makers Hive Innovations Pvt Ltd, Vaave, Whizzy Logistic Technologies Pvt Ltd, and Xeeed IO Pvt Ltd, among others.
“This is a unique benchmarking exercise being done for the first time to recognise quality and potential among Telangana’s emerging entrepreneurs,” Kakarla said.
He added that any business registered in Telangana with a dedicated founder was eligible, regardless of size, stage, or industry. Of the 294 applications received, 50 startups were shortlisted after jury evaluation and due diligence.
“Entrepreneurs need to be celebrated; otherwise, there will be no aspirations,” Kakarla said, adding that TiE 50 will also mentor startups that were not selected this year. Applications for the 2026 cohort will open in July.
Entrepreneurs of Distinction and TiE Awards announced
At the same event, Entrepreneurs of Distinction and TiE Entrepreneurship Awards 2025 were presented to celebrate excellence and innovation in Hyderabad’s startup ecosystem. Sponsored by EIPL, the awards honoured outstanding individuals and organisations driving innovation and growth.
Dr Gullapalli Nageswara Rao of LV Prasad Eye Institute received the Social Entrepreneur of the Year award, while Greenko founders Anil Chalamalashetty and Mahesh Kolli were named Entrepreneurs of the Year.
Midhula Devabhaktuni, Co-founder of MIVI, was recognised as Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. Hyderabad Angels won Best Angel Network, Endiya Partners was named Best Venture Capital Firm, and IIIT Hyderabad’s Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) received Best Incubator/Accelerator (Academia). DarwinBox was named Unicorn of the Year, and Hexagon Capability Centre India (HCCI) was recognised for Best Corporate Fostering Entrepreneurship.
The jury included G. V. Prasad (Dr Reddy’s Laboratories), Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Dr Ramesh Byrapaneni (Endiya Partners), Ajit Rangnekar (RICH), and Sudipta Bhattacharya (Adani Group).
“These awards celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship that defines Hyderabad innovative, resilient, and impactful,” said Rajesh Pagadala, President of TiE Hyderabad.
The awards committee was chaired by Kali Prasad Gadiraju (Chairman, EThames Business School), along with Murli Kakarla (Vice-President, TiE Hyderabad & CEO, Innobox), Jayesh Sanghvi (EY), and Raj Samala (Revalysys).
